Mackie...master trainer....

So, I just wanted to keep everyone up to date with what is going on with me. I attended my second Family Dog training class on Monday. Mom says I did beautifully! I'm not sure what the big fuss is all about- mom asks me to do something, I do it and then I get a piece of chicken. You would have to be dumb not to do it. Did I mention that I get a good piece of chicken? There were a lot of other dogs in the class too. A standard poodle, a golden retriever, a German shorthaired pointer, a border terrier, a jack Russell and several German Shepard’s. Have I mentioned that I don’t particularly care for German Shepard’s? They stare at you right smack dab in the eye…now I don’t know about you, but that seems kind of weird to me. Monday I got placed right between two big Shepard’s, not a good idea. I think they are afraid of me though…they have to know that I would kick their butts.

I heard mom and dad talking that they may put Ollie in a class too. I think it needs to be remedial training! HeHeHe! They were saying maybe Rally class for him. I’m not sure what that is, but I sure hope he learns how to behave better in it. Have I mentioned that Ollie and I are getting along better these days? Mom is very proud of us, she tells me all the time. She caught Ollie and I on the sofa lying together last week and swears she is going to tell everyone. Can’t a guy get a break?

How BIG a piece of chicken? My mom says that I am impossible (sometimes) & that food is the least of my interests when I am on a tear. Maybe if she tried tossing me the whole chicken???

Your pal in Montreal,

Mackie, you are one handsome dude in that sweater, and well done for learning to tolerate Ollie, I know it can be darn hard!
I love chicken too, but unfortunately for Mom and Dad, not even a flock of dead chickens would make me come when I don't feel like coming!
Your pal,
